Our work spans five pillars:
Supporting: Knowledge, Arts, Research, Unity & Business Skills.
SKARUB is a neurodiverse black-led, community-centred initiative empowering Bristol’s Black Afro-Caribbean creatives, entrepreneurs, and leaders in St Paul’s, Easton, and surrounding neighbourhoods. Rooted in the cultural vibrancy of these historic hubs, SKARUB addresses systemic barriers and economic disparities by fostering spaces for collective rest, innovation, and growth.
Designed with neurodivergent voices at its core (many founders identify with ADHD/autism), SKARUB priorities inclusive programming that celebrates diverse communication styles, intergenerational collaboration, and the holistic wellness of our community. We redefine entrepreneurial support by integrating mental and physical well-being into every initiative, recognising that sustainability requires more than just skills—it demands care. Through arts-driven projects, peer-led research, and business development tailored to neurodiverse needs, SKARUB cultivates a dynamic ecosystem where creativity and resilience thrive. By centring the lived experiences of Bristol’s Black diaspora and neurodivergent innovators, we aim to dismantle systemic inequities while building a legacy of unity, opportunity, and cultural pride. Together, we’re crafting a future where every voice fuels collective progress. In short: SKARUB is where culture meets care, and innovation meets inclusion
